June is peak season in Pensacola Beach, and with good reason. The beaches are full of visitors and the fishing is hot and heavy. Red Snapper season opens, and the kingfish bite is strong all over the area. Inshore, Pensacola Bay is still producing tasty Gator Trout and Sheepshead.
October is another great time to be fishing in the area. Schooling bull redfish start to show up in the bays and they are a blast to catch. Inshore, jacks and Flounder are in abundance as well. In addition, the deeper water of the Gulf of Mexico is a great place to target Grouper and Red snapper.
On a Got m fishing charter, you can expect to catch these species and more on one of their six or eight hour bottom fishing trips. The captains at Got m fishing are experienced locals who know the area like the back of their hands and can put you on the fish.
Offshore, Pensacola Beach offers some of the finest reef fishing in the world. The Oriskany wreck sits just over 20 miles offshore and holds all the tasty reef species you can imagine. Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish and Amberjack are just a few of the species you can find on this famous artificial reef. The Gulf of Mexico is also home to some huge billfish, including Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Offshore trips typically require a longer commitment, but the reward is often worth it.
