How to Get XP Per Hour Fishing in RuneScape 3

Fishing is one of the fastest ways to level up your character and there are a lot of great XP per hour fishing spots throughout RuneScape 3. Some of these places are AFK heaven, while others can be tricky, but with some hard work and research, you can get some fantastic XP per hour.

Barbarian Fishing is the fastest training method in RS3. Players can get access to this at level 48, and it’s the best way to train your Fishing skill. This involves catching leaping versions of trout and salmon, and you can also unlock new areas by completing quests.

You can catch crayfish, shrimps, and herrings with this method. Crayfish are very slow to start and don’t give a lot of XP, but they do have a good chance at dropping bait which can be used to increase your XP gain per catch.

Herrings are a bit slower, but you can fish them with a small fishing net, and they give a fair amount of XP. I recommend fishing herrings if you want to level Fishing fast, and don’t mind waiting for them to drop.

Crimson Skillchompas are another effective way to increase your XP per hour, but they do cost a pretty penny. You can get these at the Grand Exchange for about 150k GP, and they will only increase your XP per catch by 5% each time you use them.

Torstol Incense Sticks are a less expensive alternative to Skillchompas and can also increase your XP per catch by a fraction of a percent. These incense sticks can be reloaded, and can be used in excess of six times without a penalty.

Perfect Juju Potion is another effective way to increase your XP rate while fishing, and it can be found in the Grand Exchange for about 150k GP. This potion is effective for up to an hour, and it increases your XP per catch by 5%.

Aside from increasing your XP per catch, this potion also increases your chance to catch a fish by 5% for 1 hour. However, this bonus can be lost if you use the potion in the wrong manner.

There are other methods to increase your XP per hour while fishing, including using Fishing Buffs and using a Fishing Outfit. These items can help you to get more experience from fishing, and they’re available through intervention skills or treasure chests.

Fishing Buffs

Fishing buffs are a great addition to your collection, as they can boost your experience rates while fishing and help to make the process more enjoyable. They come in different flavors, and each flavor provides a different benefit.

Unlike other buffs, the Fishing Buffs in RS3 are stackable, so you can buy as many of them as you want and still have enough to improve your experience rates while fishing.

The Fishing Outfits are also a great addition to your collection, and they’ll increase your XP per hour by 1% each time you equip them. You can purchase a complete set from an intervention skill or treasure chest, or equip all of the pieces individually.
